JSP Jetstream Respirator A2 Gas Filter

The JSP Jetstream Respirator A2 Gas Filter is intended as a replacement filter for use with the JSP Jetstream Gas Respirator Power Unit or other A2 compatible Jetstream gas respirator kits. The filter offers a certified protection level of 20 times the work place limit for gases and organic vapours such as paint thinner.

Please note that this is a spare filter and power unit is not included.

What Can the Jetstream Filter Do for Me?

The filter has many helpful features, some of which follow here:

  • Protection: Certified as providing protection against organic vapours with a boiling point above 65°C, for instance organic solvents, petroleum, paint thinners and glues
  • Easy to Fit: Slots easily into the JSP Jetstream Gas Respirator Power Unit with minimal hassle
  • APF: Filter has an assigned protection factor of 20 times the work place limit for gases and organic vapours

Who Can Use the Jetstream Filter?

The filter is designed for use with products such as the JSP Jetstream Gas Respirator Power Unit or the JSP Jetstream 8hr Rechargeable Respirator with A2 Filter and cannot be used by itself. Due to the protection offered from solvents such as paint thinner, the filter has a wide application in the construction industry. Engineers as well as oil and gas workers can benefit from respiratory protection against petroleum fuels and similar hazards.

What Is an A2 Filter For?

A2 filters offer protection against medium concentrations of gases and organic vapours with boiling points above 65°C. Following is a list of hazards for which the A2 filter is suitable:

  • Petroleum ether
  • Diluent for cellulose lacquers (solvent based)
  • Tar vapour
  • Solvent glues
  • Varnish

What Certifications Has the Filter Received?

The filter has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. It has achieved the following certifications:

  • EN 12941

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 12941: This standard specifies whether a powered filtering device incorporating a helmet or hood with gas, particle or combined filter meets the minimum requirements for respiratory protection

The filter offers a protection level of 20 times the workplace limit for organic vapours and gases with a boiling point over 65°C. You will know it is time to replace the filter when it develops a noticeable smell or taste.
