The Portwest AF91 Araflame High-Vis Flame-Resistant Coveralls offer protection from a range of hazards, including heat, flames, electrostatic discharge and hazards associated with welding. The coveralls also qualify as high-visibility, making them suitable for railway workers.

What Can the Araflame High-Vis Flame Resistant Coveralls Do to Help Me?

The coveralls have several helpful features:

  • Fireproof: Protective against radiant, convective and contact heat, features sew on flame resistant industrial wash tape
  • Enhanced visibility: Reflective tape on torso, arms and legs and bright orange colour for increased visibility
  • Durable: The brass zips are durable and long lasting, and the coveralls flame resistant qualities will not diminish with washing
  • Functional: Six pockets for ample storage, radio loop for easy clipping of a radio and two way zip for quick and easy access

The coveralls are made with Araflame Hi-Vis Multi flame resistant fabric, which offers inherent flame resistant protection in combination with high visibility.

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 11612: This standard determines whether a garment offers protection against heat and flames, and whether this protection extends to convective, radiant or contact heat
  • EN 11611: This standard shows whether an item of clothing is suitable for welding or similar tasks and will protect from heat and metal splashes
  • EN 1149-5: This standard demonstrates whether a garment protects against electrostatic discharge in environments such as petrochemical refineries where there is a risk of explosion
  • EN ISO 20471: This standard certifies whether an item of clothing is capable of visually signalling the user's presence, and assesses the durability of the high-vis qualities of the garment
  • RIS-3279-TOM: This standard determines whether a garment qualifies as suitably high-vis for working in the rail industry

The coveralls are resistant to convective, radiant and contact heat and will protect against electrostatic discharge in the event of an explosion. The coveralls qualify as having arc flash protection, and will also protect against metal splashes from welding. The coveralls have been certified as high-vis, and are suitable for wear by railway workers.
