The flexible Portwest BZ11 Bizweld Flame Resistant Welding Sleeves provide an excellent additional protective layer when worn alongside suitable coveralls. The sleeves will shield your arms from molten metal splashes, arc flashes and radiant, convective and contact heat.

What Can the Bizweld Flame Resistant Welding Sleeves Do for Me?

The sleeves have several useful features. These include:

The sleeves must be worn in conjunction with suitable coveralls or jacket/trousers combination. They will effectively protect your arms from molten metal, and for this reason they are ideal for the welding industry. The sleeves have undergone thorough testing, so you can be certain of your safety at work. Certifications include:

    • A1: Limited flame spread
    • A2: Limited flame spread, hemmed
    • B1: Convective heat (scale 1 - 3)
    • C1: Radiant heat (scale 1 - 4)
    • E2: Molten iron splash (scale 1 - 3)
    • F1: Contact heat (scale 1 - 3)
  • EN 11611:
    • Class 1
    • A1

  • ASTM F1959/ F1959M - 12 ATPV = 11.2 cal/cm² (HAF = 80.4%)

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 11612: This standard determines whether a garment offers protection against heat and flames, and whether this protection extends to convective, radiant or contact heat
  • EN 11611: This standard shows whether an item of clothing is suitable for welding or similar tasks and will protect the wearer from heat and metal splashes
  • ASTM F1959: This standard determines the arc rating of a garment, which is the amount of energy needed to pass through the fabric to cause a second or third degree burn

The sleeves have been awarded class 1 welding protection against splashes of molten metal and an improved level of protection against molten iron under EN 11612. The sleeves are effective protection against radiant, convective and contact heat and also provide ARC2 arc flash protection for your arms.
