Portwest FR98 Bizflame Wildland Fire Coveralls

Wild fires present a different set of hazards from structural fires, and the Portwest FR98 Bizflame Wildfire Coveralls have been designed with the specific purpose of protecting the wearer from forest fires and similar conflagrations. The coveralls are extremely durable to cope with the strenuous outdoor work, while remaining lightweight enough to prevent overheating in warm weather.

What Can the Bizflame Wildland Fire Coveralls Do for Me?

The coveralls have several helpful features. These include:

  • Flame Resistant: Certified as resistant to convective and radiant heat as well as providing specific protection against wildfires and related hazards
  • Anti-Static: Carbon fire component of material prevents a potentially dangerous build-up of static charge around the wearer
  • Lightweight: Lightweight fabric for moisture management and wearer comfort in hot weather
  • Durable: Twin-stitched seams and double-layer reinforced knee protection for optimum durability in tough environments
  • Functional: Two-way zip for quick and easy access and three handy pockets for functional storage, yellow/silver stripes for increased visibility in poor light conditions

The coveralls are made from Bizflame Wildland Fire material, a fabric made by Portwest specifically for tackling wild fires. As well as providing guaranteed flame resistance the lightweight material also helps to manage moisture, reducing the risk of heat stress in hot environments.

Who Can Use the Wildland Fire Coveralls?

The Wildland Fire coveralls are designed specifically for fighting wildfires, and so are ideal for employees of the Fire and Rescue Service. However, it is worth noting that the coveralls are not intended for fighting structural fires, where higher levels of radiant heat are expected.
