EN ISO 20471
EN IS0 20471 assesses the visibility of products sold as hi-vis wear. There are three components which are tested. These are the fluorescent material of the jacket. the reflective strips and the contrast material. The Portwest H448 was classified as a Class 3 piece of high-visibility safety wear.
EN 343
EN 343 : 2019 is a regulation that tests and assesses the waterproofing and breathability of a protective jacket or coat. It has three values which indicate these levels. The first number indicates the products waterproofness. The second number indicates the breathability of the product. The third value is represented by an R or an X. An R is used if the product has been tested in a downpour.
