The jacket has the highest possible rating for waterproofing, and also boasts resistance to chemical splashes and brief contact with igniting flames.

The jacket is resistant to chemicals and to brief contact with small igniting flames. The jacket will prevent static-charge from building up and protect the wearer from electrostatic discharge in the event of an explosion. Under EN 343 the jacket has achieved the highest possible rating for waterproofing but is not classified as breathable.
