Sioen 011V Zarate Navy Blue Regular Length Arc Flash Trousers are an essential piece of safety wear if you work with or around electrical equipment. Made with anti-static fabric, the fibres used in the manufacturing process do not store static electricity, preventing them from becoming a source of ignition. They also guard against the fallout of an arc flash which has the potential to be fatal if the correct safety trousers are not worn.

What Is an Arc Flash?
An arc flash is a sudden discharge of electrical energy that can reach temperatures four times hotter than the sun. Explosions are caused when unintentional contact is made between an energised conductor (like a live wire) and another conductor that is in contact with an earthed surface. The result is a shower of ash and sparks and an acute, intense explosion of heat that can be fatal.
How Do Sioen Zarate Trousers Protect Against Arc Flashes?
Arc flash incidents are becoming more and more common due to higher demands for electricity and power. In the event of an arc flash, any exposed skin can be badly burned.

What Are the Benefits of Anti-Static Material?
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a serious problem when working with electricity. Static is produced in industrial facilities whilst also existing naturally in the environment. Anti-static clothing does not allow static charge to build up in its fibres, meaning a spark from your clothing can not be a source of ignition, preventing serious incidents and damage from occurring.
How Comfortable Are Sioen Zarate Trousers?
Manufactured in the traditional trouser style, Sioen Zarate Trousers maintain a straight leg with a wide ankle and a rigid waistline. They remain flexible enough to allow for a wide range of movement and whilst they are made with unique anti-static material, they are kind on sensitive skin.
The interior lining does not irritate or agitate when they are worn for long periods and the multi-loop waistband allows them to be worn with any belt. They also come with multiple pockets for storing work related tools, implements and accessories.
