ATG MaxiCut ULTRA 58-917 Cut-Resistant Under-Glove Liners

Designed for use with the ATG MaxiCut ULTRA range of gloves, ATG MaxiCut ULTRA 58-917 Cut-Resistant Under-Glove Liners provide an extra layer of insulation and Level C cut-protection. An under-glove facilitates the use of a more specialised glove on top, allowing the user the ability to simultaneously bolster their safety and target protection to suit the environment, job or application at hand.

What's Included?

  • 1 x Pair of Glove Liners

What Is an Under-Glove Liner?

An under-glove liner is an uncoated, thinner glove designed to bolster the cut-resistance rating of the glove worn on top. They can be used for insulation or to add another layer of protection when working in hazardous environments.

You'll typically find them underneath specialist gloves that provide protection against chemicals, heat, impact and freezing temperatures. This is because these gloves often feature a lower cut-resistance rating off the bat.

Which Gloves Are Suitable for Use With MaxiCut Glove Liner?

Despite being specifically designed for use with the ATG ULTRA Safety Glove Range, ATG MaxiCut Under Liners are just as suitable for use with any brand or style of safety glove.

Which Size Glove Liner Is Right for Me?

To find your perfect size, simply measure the circumference of your palm (ignoring the thumb area) and the length of your hand as indicated in the image below. Once you have your measurements, please consult the sizing chart below to find the correct size for your hand.

How to measure your hand

Size Palm Circumference Hand Length
Size 7 (Small) 178mm 171mm
Size 8 (Medium) 203mm 182mm
Size 9 (Large) 229mm 192mm
Size 10 (Extra Large) 254mm 204mm

Should I Select the Same Size as My Safety Gloves?

This is a common question when it comes to glove liners. Although a glove liner typically fits tighter than a standard glove, selecting the size you select when purchasing safety gloves will give you the best possible fit.

Alternatively, if you do prefer a tighter under-glove, you can select a size down from that which your measurements indicate.

MaxiCut ULTRA 58-917 Glove Liner Protection Ratings

EN 388: Mechanical Resistance

  • EN 388: 3442C

EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.

The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.

Standard Resistance Rating
Abrasion Resistance Level 3
Cut Resistance Level 4
Tear Resistance Level 4
Puncture Resistance Level 2
ISO Cut Resistance Level C

Do MaxiCut UnderGloves Use a Coating?

No. MaxiCut Under Gloves are designed for use as a layer that goes underneath your gloves, making a coating unnecessary. This means they're extra soft and comfortable, allowing you to use them for as long as required without irritation.

Thin, Soft and Lightweight Design

You don't want extra protection to mean extra weight. Unlike other baggy liners, ATG MaxiCut 58-917 Glove Liners are incredibly thin and lightweight, allowing you to slip them on underneath a heavier glove without issue.

Feel Like You're Wearing Nothing At All

The last thing you want is your under-glove causing irritation, itching and a general feeling of discomfort. ATG MaxiCut Cut-Resistant Glove Liners are so light that you'll quickly forget you're wearing them. They're also specially treated to be kind on sensitive-skin, making them a great option if you suffer with eczema or dermatitis.

Level C Cut-Resistance Rating

Work gloves that have been specified in these categories are suitable for a wider range of uses, including areas where contact with blades and sharp edges is common. As these gloves are where dexterity starts to lessen, they're more suited for use with trade workers and in industrial settings like building and construction sites.
