Are the Knee Protectors Breathable?
As they are close-fitting, it can be easy to become uncomfortable and sweaty after long periods of wearing them. To prevent this, the Blaklader Protectors are designed with an airy mesh material on the back, which encourages circulation through the material to the legs.
If a tight fit proves to be uncomfortable, these protectors also feature a Velcro strap at the top so that you can adjust the fit to suit your needs.

What Do These EN Standards Mean?
The Knee Protectors are certified under EN 14404, type 2, level 1 standards, meaning they meet the following requirements:
- EN 14404: Requirements for knee pads that best protect the knees of those using them
- Type 1: Refers to the type of knee pad, with type 1 being knee pads that can be worn around the knees
- Level 1: Refers to their performance level, with level 1 meaning they are suitable for use on flat or non-flat surfaces and provide protection against penetration at a force of at least 100 ± 5 N
