• EN 1149-5: This standard pertains to protective clothing with electrostatic properties. It specifies requirements for materials and design to minimise the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) in environments where there's a potential for explosion due to electrostatic charges. The Portwest AS26 has therefore been designed and manufactured to reduce the risk of static electricity buildup, which is ideal for certain work environments to prevent sparks that might ignite flammable substances
• EN 61340-5-1: This standard is also related to electrostatic discharge control but focuses specifically on the protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena. It sets requirements for materials and design to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components caused by electrostatic discharge. The Portwest AS26 therefore minimises risk of static electricity buildup, thereby reducing the likelihood of damaging electronic equipment when worn by workers in environments where such protection is necessary

The shell fabric of the Portwest AS26 is made up of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. In addition, the fleece is anti-pilling, meaning that wearers can enjoy the design for years on end without the quality of the fabric being destroyed by daily wear or repeated washing.
