Merino wool is a natural fibre grown by Merino sheep. Merino wool socks, are typically the warmest type of socks. As well as their insulating properties, they are also thinner and softer than regular wool, making them easier to wear next to the skin and therefore easier to wear all day. These types of socks are the choice for strenuous work, or work in which you're on your feet all day, as well as activities such as backpacking and marathon running.
