What Is SMS?

SMS, or Spunbond Meltblown Spunbond, is a tri-laminate non-woven fabric, made up of a top layer of spunbond polypropylene, a middle layer of meltblown polypropylene and a bottom layer of spunbond polypropylene. Because spunbond polypropylene is known for its excellent strength and durability, and meltblown polypropylene for its excellent wicking and barrier properties, SMS is the ideal option for a product that serves as a barrier to fluids and particles.
