Sizing Information

The glasses are available in a universal, self-adjusting size which should fit most users. They weigh only 18g, lightweight enough for un-obtrusive wear and are designed to be worn over regular glasses.

How Should Safety Glasses Fit?

Safety glasses are designed to keep you safe, and they need to be worn all day long for adequate protection against hazards. To check if your safety eyewear fits correctly, the weight of the glasses should be distributed evenly between the ears and nose, so the frames sit comfortably around the face for a light, barely-there feeling. In addition, the lenses should be close enough to your eyes that they provide adequate protection, but your eyelashes should not touch them.

Why Are Safety Glasses Used in Labs?

Safety glasses are essential in various types of research, protecting the eye from the following hazards that can occur and enter the eye:

  • Sawing
  • Scaling
  • Broken glass
  • Chemical splashes

Why Do Medical Professionals Need Eye Protection?

Medical professionals might choose to wear safety glasses or goggles when they come into contact with people who are at risk of spreading disease, which can enter through the eye, going directly into the bloodstream.

How Can Safety Glasses Be Used in Pharmaceutical Industries?

Pharmaceutical industries need eye protection to prevent substances getting in the eye through the bloodstream via splashes, spills or explosions.

Why Are Safety Glasses Needed in Construction and Assembly?

Safety glasses are needed to prevent flying objects from entering the eye or eye area. This can occur during sawing, breakages and general flying debris.

Polycarbonate Safety Glasses

These glasses are made entirely out of polycarbonate, which has a number of different benefits:

  • High durability since polycarbonate is almost 250 times stronger than other plastics
  • UV protection; polycarbonate glasses are UV resistant for safe wear outside
  • Lightweight design means polycarbonate comfortable and effortless for wear all day
  • Good light transmission means they are easy to see through for clarity when it is needed

Why Is Polycarbonate Used for Safety Glasses?

Polycarbonate has a number of different benefits that are particularly useful for protective eyewear:

  • Lightweight, keeping glasses comfortable and not distracting which is essential for proper eyewear protection all day long
  • Impact resistant, since polycarbonate is ten times more impact resistant than regular plastics (making this a brilliant material for use with flying hazards such as in manufacturing)
  • Natural UV protection, since polycarbonate blocks 100% of UV without additional UV coating - keeping the wearer safe from eyesight damage as a result of the sun

Scratch-Proof Design

This pair of glasses is designed to be scratch-resistant, making it perfect for use where chemicals and solids are more likely to project towards the wearer. This allows them to stay safe and keep working, for better and more accurate results when they need it most.

Anti-Fog

These glasses are designed to be fog-resistant, keeping vision clear at all times. This is essential when working with hot temperatures, smoke, or intense water-vapour, helping you to keep as productive as possible all day long.
