What Is the Fall Arrest Kit For?
The Fall Arrest Harness and Lanyard are designed as a fall arrest system for elevated work. When properly anchored, the kit will allow you to safely work from height, and will be able to take your weight in the event of a fall.
Fall Arrest
A Fall Arrest system will not stop you from falling. It is instead a system that ensures a fall is carried out in a safe and controlled manner. This enables a worker to carry out their job while a body harness is connected to a suitable shock absorbing system.
This will not prevent free fall. You will still fall, however, you will then be caught by a fall arrest block, rope, a lanyard and your harness. Training MUST be provided, and an escape plan MUST be in place before an accident happens. Below are some situations where fall arrest could be helpful:
- Scaffolding
- Wind energy
- Crane erection and maintenance
- High bay pallet racking
- Construction
- Roof work
How Safe Is the Fall Arrest Harness?
Fall Arrest equipment is high-quality and priorities safety, as such this Scaffold Hook is fully compliant to the following safety standards:
Sit Strap and Back Support for Comfort
Working at height can be tough on the body, especially on long days. The included Fall Arrest Harness features back support and an in-built seat strap to help reduce fatigue.
Attached Scaffold Hook and Snap Hook
Included with the lanyard are two attached hooks, a double-action scaffold hook and a double-action snap hook. The snap hook secures to your harness, while the scaffold hook secures you to a structure while working at height.
Adjustable Webbing for Freedom of Movement
The webbing of the Fall Arrest Lanyard is easily adjustable for freer movement while working at height, while still maintaining stringent safety standards.
Fall Indicator for Maximum Safety
The included Fall Arrest Lanyard has a fall indication patch sewn in, which frays when exposed to significant force. This makes it clear when the lanyard is no longer effective and must be switched out.
Compatible with Fall Arrest Range
After safety checks, this fall arrest kit is ready to use. But it can also be used with other equipment in the Fall@rrest range for other elevated work needs. This includes the following:
