JSP Pioneer Kernmantle Single Fall Arrest Lanyard

The JSP Pioneer Kernmantle Single Fall Arrest Lanyard is ideal for daily use due to both its durability and functionality. The rope ends are stitched and covered with a hard-wearing polyethylene protective sleeve and the energy absorber features a fall indicator for easy inspection.

  • 1 x Quarter turn aluminium connector, conforms to EN 362 (Class B)
  • 1 x Aluminium scaffold hook, conforms to EN 362 (Class A/T)

What Can the Kernmantle Lanyard Do for Me?

The lanyard has several useful features, some of which follow here:

  • Shock Absorbing: Kernmantle rope absorbs shock, gradually arresting the fall
  • Fall Arrest: Both the scaffolding hook and connector are certified as suitable for fall arrest uses
  • Durable: Rope ends are stitched and covered with polyethylene protective sleeve for daily use, abrasion resistant thimbles provided within loops
  • Functional: Black and red tracer in the rope indicates degradation of the material, energy absorber features a fall indicator for easy inspection

What Certifications Has the Single Fall Arrest Lanyard Received?

The lanyard has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. The lanyard has achieved the following certifications:

  • EN 355: 2002
  • EN 362: 2004

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 355: This standard specifies whether a lanyard absorbs shock, reducing the force applied to the user by gradually arresting the fall
  • EN 362: Indicates that the connector used is suitable for preventing falls from height

The lanyard will reduce the force applied to the user by gradually arresting a fall, should one occur. Both the connector and the scaffolding hooks are certified as suitable for preventing falls from heights. The breaking strength of the lanyard is 25kN.
