JSP Spartan Scaffolding Lanyard

Scaffolding can be highly difficult and dangerous, both in the process of aerial manoeuvring and in the case of a fall. The JSP Spartan Scaffolding Lanyard is an essential piece of equipment for scaffolders looking to increase their safety at work.

  • 1 x Screw gate connector in alloy steel, conforms to EN 362 (Class B and M)
  • 1 x Alloy steel scaffold hook, conforms to EN 362 (Class T)

The lanyard has several useful features. These include:

  • Shock Absorber: Polyester webbing with shock absorber to prevent injury
  • Fall Arrest: Both the screw gate connector and scaffold hook are certified as suitable for use in fall arrest kits, textile loops on both ends of the webbing for additional anchorage
  • High-Quality: Alloy steel and high-tenacity polyester for durable, ergonomic construction
  • Functional: Energy absorber features a fall indicator for for easy inspection

Who Can Use the JSP Lanyard?

The lanyard is designed to be used in the scaffolding industry, assisting with positioning the wearer in the correct aerial location, and preventing injury in the case of a fall.

What Certifications Has the Scaffolding Lanyard Received?

The lanyard has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. The lanyard has achieved the following certifications:

  • EN 355: 2002
  • EN 362: 2004

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 355: This standard specifies whether a lanyard absorbs shock, reducing the force applied to the user by gradually arresting the fall
  • EN 362: Indicates that the connector used is suitable for preventing falls from a height

The shock absorber of the lanyard will gradually arrest a fall and drastically reduce chances of injury. The steel scaffold hook and screw gate connector are both certified as appropriate for use in a fall arrest kit. The breaking strength of the lanyard is 25kN.
